Build the next generation of software with us.
Code Entropy is a senior studio building SaaS platforms, AI agents, modern web, and the DevOps platforms behind them for founders and enterprises around the world. We hire slowly, pay well, and treat engineering, design, and AI like a craft. If that sounds like the studio you've been looking for, we'd like to know you.

Where we are this quarter
No open roles today, but we're always meeting great people.
We don't post roles we aren't ready to hire for. Right now our team is full and shipping. But we open new roles every quarter — senior engineers, designers, AI specialists, and DevOps leads — and the first place we look is the people who already raised their hand.
Drop your details in our talent network and we'll reach out the moment a role opens that fits your profile. No spam, no recruiter blasts, no ghosting.
- A real human reads every submission.
- Response within 5 business days.
- We only reach out when there's a role that actually fits.

How we work
The operating principles
A studio built for senior practitioners.
Code Entropy isn't a body shop. We work in small, senior pods where everyone ships. Here's how that feels in practice.
Seniors only, juniors grown carefully.
We don't throw juniors at client projects. Every pod is led by people who have shipped real products — and we grow new talent through deliberate apprenticeship, not on someone else's deadline.
Async-first, deep work default.
Most communication happens in writing. Meetings have agendas or they don't happen. Your timezone is respected. Deep work is the operating mode.
Ownership over hours.
We care what shipped this week, not how many hours you sat in front of a screen. Outcomes are the unit of work, not effort.
Ship in weeks, not quarters.
Every project is broken into weekly demos. Every engineer ships to production. No long stretches of invisible work, no surprise reveals.
Build with founders, learn from them.
We work directly with founders and CTOs — no account managers between you and the people making decisions. You learn the business, not just the ticket.
Quality is a feature.
Performance, accessibility, security, observability, and tests aren't sprinkled on at the end. They're how we work, every commit.
Why people stay
Beyond the salary
Built for the long run.
A senior studio is only as good as the conditions it gives its people. These are ours — not perks for posters, but the things that actually let great work happen.
Senior peers.
You'll work with people who've shipped real products. No juniors thrown at projects, no ego — just senior collaboration.
Async first.
Most meetings happen in writing. Your timezone is respected. Deep work is the default mode, not the exception.
Equity from day one.
Every full-time hire gets a meaningful equity grant. We share the upside because we'd rather build owners than employees.
Real health coverage.
Full health insurance for you and your family, including dental and mental health. No deductible games.
Learning budget.
$2K/year per person for books, courses, conferences, side projects. We're a studio of practitioners — we keep practicing.
Best-in-class kit.
MacBook Pro, monitor, chair, anything else you need to do your best work — picked by you, shipped to your door.
Generous time off.
25 paid days off (no “unlimited” tricks). Plus public holidays in your timezone. Plus a winter break for the whole studio.
Annual retreat.
Once a year, the whole studio meets in person somewhere good. Past locations: Istanbul, Lisbon, Bali, Cape Town.
Quarterly focus weeks.
One week per quarter — no client work, no meetings — just yours to build, read, or rest. Use it however you want.
Our hiring process
What to expect when we open a role
Clear, short, respectful.
We hate slow loops as much as you do. When a role opens, here's exactly what happens — usually 2–3 weeks from first call to offer.
No homework goes unpaid. No interview drags past three weeks. No silent rejections — every candidate gets feedback.
Step 1 · 30 min
Intro call.
A real conversation with a senior team member. We learn what you've shipped and what you want next. You learn how we work and whether the role fits.
Step 2 · Async
Craft review.
A small, paid take-home rooted in real work — never a leetcode trap. Usually 3–5 hours of your time, on your schedule. Reviewed by two engineers or designers.
Step 3 · 90 min
Working session.
We work through the take-home together, talk architecture or design trade-offs, and meet 1–2 future teammates. This is the strongest signal both ways.
Step 4 · Within 48 hrs
Offer.
A clear written offer with salary, equity, and benefits laid out. No negotiation theater — we make our best offer up front.
Who thrives here
Honest fit, honest filters
This place is for the people who care a lot.
Honest filters work better than glossy slogans — for our hiring, and for your time.
You'll love it here if you…
- Have shipped real products to real users, end-to-end.
- Care about craft — clean code, thoughtful design, durable systems.
- Communicate clearly in writing and prefer async over meetings.
- Want to work directly with founders and leaders, not through layers.
- Treat ownership as a default, not a request.
This probably isn't for you if you…
- Want to specialize narrowly and avoid the messy edges of a project.
- Prefer detailed daily standups and constant oversight.
- Are early in your career and need formal mentorship structures.
- Want a 9-to-5 with no ownership and no equity.
Early in your career?
The apprenticeship path
Early in your career? We have a separate path.
We don't put juniors on client projects, but we do run a small, paid 6-month apprenticeship once a year — pairing strong early-career engineers, designers, or AI practitioners with senior mentors on internal tools and research projects. Applications open every August.

Common questions, honest answers.
Yes. The roles we list are the seats we tend to fill, not a fixed vacancy board. If you've shipped real work and you'd fit a senior studio, join the talent network — we look there first the moment anything opens.
We hire slowly. Start the conversation early.
The best hires we've ever made were people who joined our talent network months before a role opened. Drop your details, send a portfolio, or just say hello.
